Father and daughter team, Jean and Agnès Gervais, began the work of converting their vineyard towards wholly organic wine production in 2007. The 12-hectare Domaine de Pialentou at Brens overlooking Gaillac town on the left-bank of the river Tarn has been certified organic since the 2010 harvest. Their list of award-winning wines is one of the very best examples of the diversity of the Gaillac range. Interestingly, the word Pialentou comes from local dialect for 'Gentilles Pierres' meaning 'Kind Stones' - which provides the name for several of their excellent wines.
