The 40-hectare Domaine de la Chanade is at an altitude of 320-metres on the chalky Plateau Cordais. The vineyard is just a few kilometres from Cordes sur Ciel, voted the ‘most beautiful village in France’ 2014. Winemaker Christian Hollevoet produces only ‘natural wines’ favouring exclusively organic products for treatment of the vineyard, low yields, hand harvesting, no added yeasts or sulfites in the winemaking process and no filtering for the range of red wines. Christian’s new range of wines ‘La Griffe’ red, white, rosé and dessert wines make for great everyday enjoyment and offer a great price/quality ratio. His critically-acclaimed range ‘Galien’ is aged in French oak barrels to produce refined wines revealing subtle aromatic complexity.
