Only the very best parcels of Malbec vines are harvested to produce this famous 'black wine' of Cahors.
The nose is intense and while dominated by red fruit, it is also marked by toasty aromas with hints of caramel and vanilla. The finish is long...very long but beautifully balanced.
Again we have deliberately selected a Cahors wine here NOT raised in oak as we believe that good Malbec does not benefit from ageing in wood.
This 100% Malbec will easily keep for 10 years and is ready to enjoy. Decant this one an hour before tasting and serve between 16 and 19 degrees with red meat and cheese.
